Greenfield Robotics and Steve Castro-Miller are pleased to announce that Steve has made an investment in the company.
Steve has been a fixture in high-tech and the Kansas business community throughout his career. After various roles in IT leadership at Koch Industries, he became the President/CEO of Wichita-based Bold Software.
He led this leading CRM software company through growth up to its acquisition by LogMein, the global IT software company. After the acquisition he continued to lead Product and Engineering for BoldChat and Rescue at Logmein for a number of more years to its merger with GetGo. Currently Steve is the Managing Director of Technology at INTRUST Bank.
“I think Wichita is a great location for robotics companies” says Castro-Miller. “Wichita has a decades-old legacy of aerospace and ag equipment talent, which is a terrific source of engineering talent for new hardware ventures. I’m excited to be working with Greenfield Robotics, a local startup that’s looking to make an impact on a global scale by getting chemicals out of our food system. Fifty years ago my mother started organic gardening, so what Greenfield is about is personal for me.”
“Steve and I have shared an interest in how to grow healthy food without chemicals, antibiotics and hormones; that’s how we met years ago” says Clint Brauer, CEO/Co-Founder. “We also have a shared entrepreneurial background both at startups and inside of large companies. His wealth of experience from positions at Koch Industries, Bold Software and EFT Analytics have provided Greenfield with insights and valued advice. Great to have his vote of confidence, and excited to have him on the extended team.”
