Greenfield Robotics is pleased to announce that Tricia Knack has made an investment.
Tricia grew up involved in family farming in NE Colorado. Their irrigated and dryland production agriculture has involved corn, soybeans and most recently, hemp for both CBD and fiber. It has become evident to her through various family member health challenges that methods in farming needed to change.
“I’ve lived in a farming community since childhood, and I’ve experienced the ups and downs many times,” says Tricia. “For the last several decades we’ve been living with industrialized agriculture, and it simply isn’t sustainable for the soil, human or wildlife health. I want our generation to be able to hand this land down to our kids and grandkids in good condition - not depleting the soil or tainting it with chemicals.
“Clint has been keeping me updated since the company began,” continues Tricia. “I am amazed by the progress he has made and the team he has put together. Our family is very excited to be a part of this.”
“I’m so pleased to have Tricia as an investor,” says Clint. “She understands that farmland and soil is an asset that you need to invest in and steward for the long term- in her case for generations. She shares our mission of enabling a new way of farming, that works for farmers, for consumers and for the planet. Her vote of confidence means a great deal to us.”
Greenfield Robotics is developing robots to replace chemicals in agriculture, and to enable large-scale implementation of carbon farming, a new system of farming that holds the promise of sequestering carbon in farmland on a global scale.
