General Mills has been vocal in promoting regenerative agriculture, such as the pilot program recently announced near our headquarters in Cheney, Kansas.
Yet they took a black eye last year when the Environmental Working Group which reported on the presence of Roundup in cereals like Cheerios.
"In New Round of Tests, Monsanto's Weedkiller Still Contaminates Foods Marketed to Children," Environmental Working Group, June 12, 2019.
And again last month when the study was cited in another article: "Cheerios Tests Off the Charts (AGAIN) for Roundup," The Healthy Home Economist, February 17, 2020.
Here's the rub: there hasn't been a way to efficiently scale regenerative agriculture without chemicals herbicides.
We're working on fixing that.
